A boneless striploin is prepared from the shortloin by removal of the tenderloin and all bones.
Beef striploin steaks are also known as Porterhouse or Sirloin steaks. They are excellent for grilling and barbequeing. Just add fries and a diced tomato side salad for a great casual steak dish.
Beef tenderloin portions are cut from the tenderloin primal. The silverskin can be removed as can the tail and butt end of the cut, to provide a more leaner cut of meat.
Better know as eye fillet, tenderloin portions are the leaner steak option and best suited to grilling or pan frying. Delicious served with crisp greens and a fresh salad.
