ABOUT

Northern Rivers meats are predominantly sourced from the lush pastures of the New England Tablelands, Darling Downs and locally on the North Coast of New South Wales.

Exclusive to Top Cut Foods, Northern Rivers offers a quality range of milk fed & grain finished veal and prime yearling sourced mainly from the lush pastures of the New England Tablelands, Darling Downs and locally on the North Coast of NSW.  These regions are renowned for the perfect pastures and ideal weather conditions to breed healthy, stress free animals.

The welfare of the animals is our top priority, so it is important that they are left to roam free in open pastures with access to grass for grazing, as well as their mothers’ milk and/or grain to support their natural growth.  All of our Northern Rivers products are also Hormonal Growth Promotant (HGP) Free.

As part of our everyday operation, we are committed to sustainable farming practices and the use of eco-friendly packaging solutions to minimise our impact on the local environment.

Our strict grading processes ensure that every Northern Rivers product that makes it onto the plate meets our strict standards.  That’s a promise that has become synonymous with the Northern Rivers name for many years.

Popular Cut - Veal Osso Bucco

Cut from the shank/shin, veal osso bucco is best cooked by slow heat methods, such as braising, to maintain its tenderness.

Great for a traditional Italian meal - serve with creamy mashed potatoes or rich polenta.

Popular Cut - Veal Scallopini

Due to its consistent round shape, veal eye round is perfect for portioning for scallopini.

Prepared from the silverside, the outside flat is removed, providing a lean consistent cut.

Popular Cut - Veal Backstrap

Rich in flavour, the veal backstrap has little fat and derives from the loin. It responds best to quick high heat cooking, such as grilling.

Serve in small portions with tasty sautéed vegetables.
